Mood boards
For myself, choosing a number of illustrations, character designs and comic pages from other artists that I am inspired by can assist me in my work since I take references from their professional work and use them on my work.
I have researched artists from animation, manga and video game industries since they are the kind of artists that inspire me. To add to that, they are the most suitable artists for my pathways which is Animation Ba (Hons). The reason I made these mood boards is because of my main project that I am going to work on for the Digital Arts module. Furthermore, my main project is going to be a 3 to 4 page manga 'Japanese comic' of my own creation showing a fight scene between my hero and the villain.

Here, I started my first character design of my creation 'Ryu'. His name means the 'Red Dragon'. The Idea of his character design came from while I was watching an anime series and the character had a similar style in the eyes style. I had so much fun doing his character design since it reflected my manga drawing style and showed how much I made progress since I couldn't draw characters of my own creation in the past.

Favourite Food: Hamburger and steak
Hobby: Playing the flute
This Character design is my villain, although I still don't have a name for him. I got inspiration of his mask and hoodie from Halloween since many people on campus were wearing costumes. I made this character look crazy looking since he is the villain of my story. Sadly I can't reflect on this character design since it's still not finished.
